Who We Are
T.J MICHAEL AND COMPANY ADVOCATES (the “Firm”) was established for the purposes of competent service delivery to various clientele.
We continue to expand our knowledge, professionalism and the diversity of the services we offer. We are well equipped to meet the multitude of challenges in an evolving legal environment, however coupled by the needs of our clients growing ever more sophisticated. Our goal is to build our capacity to serve our existing and new clients alike, in a timely and cost-effective manner. We are committed to all our clients regardless of inevitable changes in our profession and various markets.
The Firm has a strong Civil litigation background and also engages in Insurance and Re-Insurance Law, Human Rights and Constitutional law, Family law and Succession, Commercial and Corporate law, Conveyancing and Property law and Banking and Finance Law. The Firm acts for individuals, Corporate and Non-Governmental Organisations in the various fields of legal practice.

T.J MICHAEL & COMPANY ADVOCATES is a going concern being a partnership. Our management style will give you an insight into the professional culture of the firm.
We have in our employ an Associate, legal interns, accountants, court& conveyance clerks, and legal secretary; inter alia. This uniquely combines the friendly and personal service of a small law firm with the expertise and resourcefulness of a large law outfit. Our staffing levels coupled with an established network of correspondent Law Firms in all major towns, strict checks and balances have rationalized our turnaround time and mitigated delays in our services.
In compliance with the Advocates (Accountants Certificate) Rules, we are ordinarily audited annually and issued with an Accountant’s Certificate. This ensures that all our clients’ funds are secure and have not been applied for purposes other than they were intended. Further we always maintain a valid professional Indemnity cover in place.
Please note that we are also Commissioners for Oaths and the Managing Partner is a Certified Professional Mediator [MTI].

Our Charges
The firm uses the fees set out in the Advocates Remuneration Order (2014) as the basis of its charges. Such alternative rates based on time or retainer can be agreed upon with the client from time to time. All our pricing will include VAT @ 14% as well as other incidental disbursements where applicable.
